Dear Property Owner:

This Exemption is available only to members of incorporated volunteer fire companies, fire departments or incorporated ambulance services who have been certified as being enrolled for a minimum of two to five years, depending on the policy.

Eligibility Requirements:
For the purposes of this exemption, the minimum year of service is two (2) years. (Local Law Intro No. 24-2025 Volunteer Firefighters and Volunteer Ambulance Service Members- Amendment, 2025)

The exemption is available for the applicant’s primary residence and only to the property (or the portion thereof) exclusively used for residential purposes.

How to apply:
Please complete, sign, and submit the RP-466-a-vol application form with the following documentation:
1. Proof of residency- A copy of driver’s license, or voter registration.
2. Proof of enrollment of the Volunteer Firefighters/Ambulance Workers organization.

The deadline to apply for all exemptions is October 15, 2026.
